Sorry it has been a while since my last post! I just got back from a wonderful Tahoe getaway that fished me out of snowboarding retirement. lol
I wanted to share some ideas about how you might incorporate old wedding decor into your home. For the basic DIYer these ideas are pretty commonsensicle, however, I found that a good way to shop for wedding decor is to think about how you’ll use them afterwards. By doing so, wedding planning becomes practical, green and creative.
If you’re already experiencing a post-wedding glow, these ideas can help jog your juices so that you can finally get rid of things that won’t work for your home.
Here they are:

- Add pizzaz to your holidays! Pearls, crystals and giveaways from your wedding can be implemented during Christmas and holidays. Check out my menu holders turned ornaments and these vintage inspired pearl ornaments I found on Be Different Act Normal. Have any strands from your table scape left? Use them as garlands or to wrap your presents with.
- Stationary from invitations and programs can be used in photo coasters or as matting in photo frames. If you have a lot leftover, decoupage them onto the bottom of a vintage tray for a charming keepsake.

- Create a lavish space using a brooch from your bouquet, hair accessories and earrings in a display on your vanity, coffee/side table or in a dressing room. Hairpins can also make for gorgeous treasured bookmarks.
- A birdcage card holder can be re-purposed into a lamp or placed as is on an entry way table or hanging in the corner of a room. Here is what I did.
